Career Information

The Company provides the following services to its customers:

Static Guarding,

Vehicle Tracking,

Remotely Monitored CCTV,

Alarm Monitoring,

Alarm and CCTV Installation and Maintenance.

To this end we wish to hear from those individuals who seek a career within any of the above disciplines.

The Qualifications and Characteristics we are looking for are as follows:

Static Guarding Security Officers (S/O)

Qualification(s):- Holder of a current SIA License (Guarding or Door Supervision) ideally with experience and/or a track record within the Static Guarding sector of the Security Industry (although this is not essential). A certificate in First Aid and/or Fire Fighting is also well received.

Characteristics – Smart in appearance, sobriety, disciplined, loyal, punctual, motivated, hard working, an ability to work alone or within a team environment, an effective communicator, intelligent, literate, numerate, determined, dependable, flexible, stress tolerant, alert, suspicious, respectful and co-operative.

Job Summary:- The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the ‘Security Principles’ viz. The Protection of Life, The Protection of Property and Premises, The Prevention of Loss and Waste, The Prevention and Deterring of Crime and all Observing and Reporting functions are achieved and upheld wherever the applicant is undertaking the security duty. General security duties and functions vary from location to location but most certainly will include; Patrolling, ingress/egress control, fire equipment checks, report writing, searches, customer/staff liaison and other tasks inline with the location’s security objective. The applicant will also ensure compliance with all Company and/or customer instructions and will make every effort to enhance the image of our Company and that of the customer, where they are performing their security duties.

The applicant may be required to perform their duties by day or by night, including weekends, as rostered by the Company’s Control Room staff.

The applicant must have a checkable work record for the previous 5 years (in some instances this can be increased to 10 years) or since leaving school (whichever is the sooner), be able to demonstrate proof of their identity and achieve satisfactory clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB check) and the Association of Chief Police Officers Security Systems Policy (ACPOSSP). The applicant will be required to sign a Personal Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Security training is provided by the Company and the applicant will be expected to complete a written examination (multiple choice) and achieve an 85% pass mark on completion of their training.

Full and Part time positions are available.

Vehicle Tracking Officer (VTO)

Qualification(s):- Ideally the successful applicant will have at least one years experience of working within a call centre environment and be able to demonstrate a high standard of personal skills in the use of computer applications and the handling of telephone calls by volume. Customer Care and/or a Communication Skills course is also highly desirable.

Characteristics – An excellent communicator, sobriety, disciplined, loyal, punctual, motivated, hard working, an ability to work alone or within a team environment, intelligent, literate, numerate, firm, determined, dependable, flexible, stress tolerant and able to work to defined targets, respectful, polite and co-operative at all times with an ability to take control of a situation.

Job Summary:- The successful applicant will be responsible for the professional handling of vehicle alert signals received by the Systems Operating Centre (SOC) in compliance with all standing instructions, procedures and regulations. Alert routines will predominately require the applicant to liaise with the vehicle owner and may frequently require the applicant to liaise with the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) with regards to the successful recovery of a stolen vehicle. Alert routines may occassionally require the applicant to liaise with other Systems Operating Centres (SOCs) and/or LEAs located anywhere in the world.

The applicant may be required to perform their duties by day or by night, including weekends, as rostered by the Company’s Control Room staff.

The applicant must have a checkable work record for the previous 10 years or since leaving school (whichever is the sooner), be able to demonstrate proof of their identity and achieve satisfactory clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB check) and the Association of Chief Police Officers Security Systems Policy (ACPOSSP). The applicant will be required to sign a Personal Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Alarm/CCTV Operative (ARCO/RVRCO)

Qualification(s):- Holder of a current SIA License (Guarding or Door Supervision or PSS) ideally with experience and/or a track record within the Remote Monitoring of Alarm/CCTV Systems sector of the Security Industry (although this is not essential).

Characteristics – An effective communicator with computer skills, sobriety, disciplined, loyal, punctual, motivated, hard working, an ability to work alone or within a team environment, intelligent, literate, numerate, firm, determined, dependable, flexible, stress tolerant and able to work to defined targets, multi-tasker, alert, suspicious, respectful, polite and co-operative at all times with an ability to take control of a situation.

Job Summary:- The successful applicant will be responsible for the professional handling of alarm & cctv remotely transmitted signals received by the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in compliance with all standing instructions, procedures and regulations. Alert routines will predominately require the applicant to assess the situation (reason for the alert) and filter non-essential alert activations. Where deemed appropriate, the applicant may be required to escalate the alert by liaising with the location’s nominated keyholders/customer contacts. Occassionally the applicant may be required to further escalate the alert to the Emergency Services (Police/Fire/Ambulance) depending upon the assessed risk/threat to the location/location’s personnel.

The applicant may be required to perform their duties by day or by night, including weekends, as rostered by the Company’s Control Room staff.
